Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter. You should only buy it if…

Hello Xbox 360 Fiends,

wireless-adapterIf you have been reading my blog, you might have realized that I bash on Microsoft quite frequently because of the crappy quality of their products. I can’t believe I’m doing this, buy today I’m actually going to recommend a Microsoft Product!

If you have a wireless network and need an adapter for your xbox 360, I highly suggest you get the Microsoft brand one found here at Amazon.

Why you should buy the Microsoft brand

I originally bought that third party wireless adaptor by Pelican. Needless to say I had so many issues with this adapter that I actually went online and bought the Microsoft xbox 360 version. The 3rd party network adapter had so many problems - only being able to connect to the network on random occasions, frequent lag spikes, and a lot of dropped connections. I know you might be thinking that it was probably because I had a crappy wireless network or internet connection.

I tested the Pelican vs the real xbox 360 adapter

Being a huge nerd, I always test hardware out when I think there is a problem with it. What I did was setup both my xbox 360s right next to each other and plugged the Pelican wireless adapter into one, and the Microsoft brand adapter into the other. Keep in mind these were sitting right next to each other. The Pelican still did the same crap it did before and the Xbox 360 brand version worked flawlessly. After a couple months of use I have yet to notice any real problems with the adapter so I give it a good review so far. We’ll see how it holds up…

If you want to buy one, I always recommend getting it from Amazon here. Usually it is a lot cheaper there than it is at Best Buy or wherever it is you guy to buy your Xbox stuff.
