I have received a pretty good response to my latest xbox live headset review, so today I want to go over all the most popular head sets and what everyone thinks about them. Picking the right headphones definitely gives you an edge over the competition so it is important that you chose the right ones. Here are my comparisons of the best headsets available for the xb0x 360.

earforce2Ear Force X1 Stereo Headset with Chat

I bought this one soon after my brother broke my beloved Tritton head phones. If you are looking for a cheap headset that can still compete with some of the more expensive competition, I highly suggest you buy the EarForce x1 headset. This set works on computers and the Xbox 360 so it has many uses. It is currently on sale at Amazon found here.

The x3 is definitely the king of gaming head sets IMO. My friend has these head phones and is completely obsessed with them…always trying to promote them to anyone who comes over lol. But honestly, probably one of the best choices for competitive PC and Xbox gamers. I don’t personally own this set because I am done buying expensive headsets only to have them broken by my little brother a month later. wirelessxboxMicrosoft Xbox 360 Wireless Headset

A lot of people seem to like the Microsoft version single piece headset because it is completely wireless. It is really small and you get used to it really fast because of its size. Sometimes bigger headphones can get annoying. If you hate the feel of a regular headset, I suggest you buy this one. You can get this one cheap here from Amazon. You will have trouble finding this one at best buy as they tend to sell out fast.

lifechatMicrosoft LifeChat ZX-6000 Wireless Headset

A lot of people are interested in this headset but I don’t recommend it. Reason being is the sound quality is not as good as the regular Microsoft wireless head phones. While the microphone is fantastic, it lacks in the sound department so it is not the best for xbox gaming. If you are still trying to buy it, you can get it here for about $45.

overeaeXbox 360 Over Eat Headset

The GameCom X10 over ear headset by Plantronics is a good replacement for the headset that came with the xbox 360 at purchase. A lot of people had problems with their original headsets breaking to early and bought this one and are completely happy with it. While I am not a fan of over ear headsets, a lot of people really like them. This headset is really cheap but will last you a heck of a lot longer than the free version. underearXbox 360 Under Ear Headset

The underear head phones for the xbox are really cool looking! They are a single headphone so you can hear whats going on around you. These are great if over ear head sets get on your nerves. A little bet more expensive than the over ear, but worth it if that is what you are looking for.

If you are looking for a serious edge over the competition, I suggest you get either the Rarforce x1 or x3. If you are just looking for a good set of head phones and mic to play on Xbox Live, you should go for the cheaper over ear or under ear headsets. For those of you who are wireless nuts, you should get the Micrsoft Brand wireless headset.
